Wednesday, January 8, 2014. I am on hold right now. I am curled up tightly on this ugly brown couch which would certainly be rejected by a Goodwill donation center. My fingers are stiff and it is difficult to type; the space heater is only shooting heat at my calves. The polar vortex has sapped any moisture from my skin and my hands have aged 30 years over night. I am listening to the hold music on speaker. I have a phone to return to the warranty insurer. My days start late. I straddle old and new.
