http://debaucheryauxiliary.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
The best things from the mind, hands and life of Dorien Davies. Saturday, February 5, 2011. You all kept asking for this but then I lost the recipe. And now it is found. I usually just make this to taste, but lord knows, if you've never eaten the stuff before, you won't know the goodness of Greek Tzdsiki. Without a dang recipe. Is the best, but hey, I can only do so much. 1 Cup full fat Greek yogurt. 1 Cup grated/peeled European cucumbers. 1 Small clove garlic pressed through a garlic press. A CUP OF JO.

Woman's Debauchery Auxiliary: Ray Bradbury - Our Friend
http://debaucheryauxiliary.blogspot.com/2012/06/ray-bradbury-our-friend.html
The best things from the mind, hands and life of Dorien Davies. Friday, June 8, 2012. Ray Bradbury - Our Friend. Ray Bradbury was a friend of mine. I'm not saying this figuratively, in that way, everyone was his friend, I mean this literally. Our family was lucky enough to know him personally and we loved him. He was a great ally to us, our belief systems and our Santa Barbara bookshop (The Earthling). Memories of Ray Bradbury. By Penny and Terry Davies (my Mom and Dad). Hearing about Ray Bradbury's deat...

The best things from the mind, hands and life of Dorien Davies. Monday, April 18, 2011. Dearest ones. we're making a movie. The Husband wrote a remarkable script and we are throwing caution to the wind and doing it. It's about a man named Neil. A very unhappy man, who walks in on his girlfriend with his best friend. Neil has a breakdown/through, leaves his job, leaves his car in the parking lot and walks home. His friends teach him how to start tricking women on Craigslist. Sunday, April 10, 2011. Tutori...

earthy crunchy: August 2012
http://earthy-crunchy.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 25, 2012. Three years ago Jonathan, Amelia and Solomon went up to this this special place. For a few days of backpacking. Eli and I stayed home because he was four and I wasn't sure he was ready for it. But the last two years Eli and I have gone and he's been a good sport about it. I started realizing every time I go through this when we go overnight somewhere, even if it's car camping, I just have to push through it. So, I did the shopping, we all got our packs ready and we left. This i...

earthy crunchy: more
http://earthy-crunchy.blogspot.com/2014/02/more.html
Friday, February 21, 2014. This time last year we had already been skiing for a month. It's been a really bad year for snow in the Sierras. I see all the pictures of the snow falling in other parts of the country and I feel envious. We need the snow, not only for fun, but for the precious water it gives us. I want MORE. I don't know if we're going to get lots more. It's starting to feel like spring. I called the Sky Tavern. Going on this spring. Do you feel my stress? Time will tell how this all pans out...

earthy crunchy: July 2013
http://earthy-crunchy.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Not that my summer has been uneventful. Amelia has been away at summer school. For 5 excruciating weeks. The boys and I have been sprinkling our days with fun activities while she's been gone. Months ago when summer was just a page on my calender, we applied for a two night summer camp. We still have plenty of summer left and I'm happy about that. I need that recharge time in the summer to think and plan for the school year coming up. On our way to Solomon's summer camp.

Sunday, February 17, 2013. Although we could use more snow here in Nevada, I can't complain about these sunny days we've been having. It's important that I take advantage of these moments of goodness when I can. This is what's going on in our garden right now. The garlic peeking out. It's under the the chicken wire to keep our chickens from scratching it all up. Amelia's handy work. She's made a fort in her garden with sunflower stocks and tree branches. Are you thinking about summer? Sunny side up mama".

Friday, February 28, 2014. Or something like that) And they did. My blood pressure lowered a bit and I realized how beautiful it is to have a mess in the family room. Honestly, I miss the days when my kids just played with toys. I feel nostalgic about those days when I had an ever present little one on my hip and the house was a disaster zone most of the time. My kids, at the moment, are playing flashlight hide-n-seek with dad. My heart is really happy. Friday, February 21, 2014. I called the Sky Tavern.

earthy crunchy: October 2012

Sunday, October 28, 2012. My first Bald Eagle and Taylor Creek. On Friday I scheduled a field trip up to Tahoe at Taylor Creek. To see the Kokanee salmon run. We had to wake up really early for the drive up there and I wasn't really looking forward to that. But it all turned out really well. After a long drive and some crankiness (from me), we made it there. Who hates being late and landing yourself in traffic? Not this mama, even if it's one of the most beautiful places on earth. Two words could sum it ...
