It’s the ultimate when it comes to chocolate chip cookies and as far as I’m concerned, no other cookie can hold a candle to it. Not long after I settled on that recipe I found my favorite chewy oatmeal-raisin cookie. 22 to 25 minutes.

Monday, February 20, 2012. The Lorax Cake Pops. It’s Cake Pop time again. And I made some cute ones for Dr Seuss’ The Lorax movie. That comes out March 2. These were fun to recreate in bright colors and cake. Here’s a run down so you can go make. Okay, I can’t rhyme – Let’s just get this ball rolling. First up are Bar-ba-loots. They’re super cute and they love to eat Truffula fruit. Okay, that’s enough. I’ll try not to torture you any more. Once they’re rolled, you can reshape them however you like.

Except that I added a graham cracker crust to the base, then instead of merely melting the marshmallows in the oven, I broiled them so that they got that nice characteristic s’mores char, and finally topped everything off with big pieces of graham crackers nestled into the marshmallows. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. I’m giddy right now. I totally made a marshmallow. Well, a bunch of marshmallows. I feel like a magician or maybe a scientist. But definitely not a chicken anymore. I’m so excited that my first go at these sugary squares worked out so well. Off to a good start. Thank goodness. And even more fun to cut. I’ve never been much of a marshmallow fan. I could have a bag of marshmallows in the house forever and never think twice about eating any of them. Bubble Gum Marshmallows. I wish.

Monday, April 2, 2012. Easter is next weekend and I am way behind on making spring sweets. I’m hoping to post something again before Sunday, but in the meantime I hope you like these pretty pops. Pink, yellow and white. They would be perfect just like this or with just a few white sprinkles dressing them up a bit. But, I didn’t leave them this way.
