Opinions From the LONE STAR STATE. Sunday, March 9, 2014. A CASE FOR SECESSION. The people have to have the will and the interest to clean out the oval office and the congress and the supreme court. This is the real problem. That is how these people got into office to begin with. So, as a patriot of the great state of Texas, i think we should take care of our own first and foremost before we take on the problems of the country or the world for that matter. Secede! And once it happens anyone who believes it will be suppressed by force is a fool. Force will only add fuel to the fire. Opinions From the LONE STAR STATE. Saturday, June 21, 2014. I stopped to help a stranded motorist with a flat tire. Yes, i know how dangerous that is! Do you pull to the side and stop for funeral processions as a sign of respect for the grieving family? Or is your time too important for a trivial thing such as that, which nobody does anymore? Of course you can, everyone feels it unless they are in denial, or completely oblivious to the goings on around them. Opinions From the LONE STAR STATE. Sunday, August 17, 2014. I am getting old, I know this and it is precisely because I am older that I tend to deal with things more calmly than when I was younger. What am I babbling on about you ask? I asked in noticeable disbelief. He then admitted they do have bags but they charge 35 cents for them. To which I then replied again in disbelief REALLY! It seemed like a simple proposition- go to the local big chain tire store and purchase more right? Hah- not so my friends. I wanted to put the nearly new tires on the front, on the rear, and have my brand new tires as steer tires. PS I went to a small tire shop in a small community and got just what i wanted.
