http://sydney-city.blogspot.com/2015/05/pyrmont-darling-island.html
Sydney - City and Suburbs. Saturday, 23 May 2015. Pyrmont, Darling Island. Is from Darling Island, in the inner city suburb of Pyrmont. Can be seen in the distance with the MLC Centre. Reflected in one of the office buildings. Darling Island was levelled and joined to the mainland with hewn rock in the late 1840s when it became home to shipbuilding yards. The wharf warehouses here have been redeveloped into apartments and offices. Click here to view all participants of Weekend Reflections. Saturday, 23 M...

Growing Paradise: Prince Kuhio vine / Rare morning glory- Ipomea horsfalliae
http://adam-myparadise.blogspot.com/2014/09/prince-kuhio-vine-rare-morning-glory.html
Thursday, 4 September 2014. Prince Kuhio vine / Rare morning glory- Ipomea horsfalliae. This interesting member of the Morning Glory vine family is quite hard to get hold of - and when you do, it is likely to be pretty expensive. This is because the vine is hard to propagate and can be a temperamental grower - obviously nothing like its weedy relatives! Below is a photo supplied by James's:. The Cardinal Creeper is considered very hard to propagate. Cuttings rarely strike well, and seed is difficult ...

Zagreb Daily Photo: May 2013
http://zagrebdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Photo a day from Zagreb, Croatia, though, there might be random photos from around Croatia if I find myself out of the city. Nearby mountain Plesivica has been playing peek-a-boo the whole afternoon:. Just a random business trip to Slovenia, company's car, and in one of the door compartments, there it was. I just can't figure out what one might use it for in a car. Btw, if you're wondering, it's Bonnie Tyler's "It's a heartache"/Got so used to lovin' you" 7' vinyl. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Growing Paradise: April 2012
http://adam-myparadise.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 29 April 2012. What to do with too many plants? Bird's Nest Fern (Asplenium nidus). The width of the plants is impressive - almost two metres! The bird's nests went on a merry-go-round of plantings around a yard which really didn't have a spot for them. Of course, parting with them wasn't an option (I could hardly throw them out! But they continued to spread making my small garden seem even smaller. Labels: lithophytic epiphytic Birds nest fern asplenium nidus. Thursday, 19 April 2012. The plant ...

Growing Paradise: Old fashioned canna Lilies
http://adam-myparadise.blogspot.com/2013/01/old-fashioned-canna-lilies.html
Tuesday, 15 January 2013. Old fashioned canna Lilies. I have a love-hate relationship with canna lilies. Quite a few times I have seen them in other people's gardens, thought they looked great, planted them en masse. Only to be a bit underwhelmed with the results. After flowering is finished, you are left with these unusual spiky purple seed pods:. This canna is more free-flowering than other types. The flowers are longer lasting than other types. It can grow very tall, almost 3 metres in height. Mmm I h...
