Monday, September 15, 2014. A 2014 Summer Update in Pictures. Jamie has asked for an updated picture of our house so I thought I would just put up a post of pictures to update the blog through the summer. OK, you already know we bought a house in April. Here Emily and I made banana fudgsicles in the new kitchen. Mom and Dad came to finish a bedroom for Emily downstairs,. And put in a new post and foundation on the corner of our sagging porch,. Emily walked on part of the dried up Salt Lake. It was really...

The Jenks Jive: February 2010
http://meljoefam.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. It has been so nice having fewer fits and freaking out in our home. Wednesday, February 17, 2010. It makes life very busy and leaves no time for boredom. If it weren't for this calling I would probably be doing my usual anti-social thing of sitting in the back row, trying to be invisible. Now I just need to memorize 145 children's names. What the Helm?!: September 2014
http://youngesthelm.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. I don't know if anyone reads this blog anymore, but I felt the need to post. Sometimes, it is hard to write things that you think are interesting but no one else may care about. So if you are still reading this blog, great! I think I might start using it more now, now that I have a grown up job that might be slightly more interesting for people to read. College, stuff.who cares? And maybe I will use it as therapy when days get hard.like today. Hard days are gross. So I found ...

The Jenks Jive: March 2010
http://meljoefam.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 5, 2010. News Flash: Child listens to Mother. Honestly Jacob is a great kid. But lately he has started acting like a teenager. He's only 11 1/2. Today he made me very happy. It didn't just go in one ear and out the other. Maybe he thinks I actually know what I am talking about. Now those girls better come in their pajamas, too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monday, July 1, 2013. Days 1 and 2: Yakatut Bay and Glacier Bay. We made it onto our cruise ship! For the next week we had gorgeous views like this to look at, on both sides of the ship. We embarked on June 8 and the cruise took 7 days, from Whittier, Alaska to Vancouver, Canada. Dressed up and ready for our first dinner! I'm a big fan of pretty sunsets. The next day we had all kinds of fun activities to do on board the ship. It was technically a "Day at Sea," but we were sailing along through Yakatu...

Sunday, May 1, 2011. The Story of BUNNY CAKE! My name is Bunny Cake and I came to be on this great Easter Day. Everyone loved me. I was so excited about searchng for eggs, the Easter Bunny. Had hid them so well that it took HOURS and HOURS for these "4" to find them. They grabbed candy and eggs as they found them. Sometimes they had to stop and really think "Now where would that Old Funny. Easter Bunny hide all those eggs. They were racing to see who could fill their egg carton first! I could not HEAR!

holladay everyday: Our Rexburg Brick Home
http://holladayeveryday.blogspot.com/2010/06/our-rexburg-brick-home.html
Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Our Rexburg Brick Home. This is the shed in our back yard that the children and I just love. It is just so cute and it matches the house. In our back yard we have a nice deck. We can't wait to have dinners and picnics out here, when it stops raining. The whole back yard is fenced in so that I don't have to worry about the boys playing outside by themselves. Here is our nice yard in front. The people before us kept the yard nice and easy to maintain. June 10, 2010 at 7:59 AM.

M. Smart Helm: April 2013
http://msmarthelm.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 22, 2013. Senior (HS) Weekend 2013. Here is my other missed March post. I blamed work. as usual. I had my two cute nieces to Vegas for a Senior Weekend. I was so happy they wanted to come! They definitely benefited from my learnings from poor Megan's Senior Weekend experience 2 yrs ago. Plus, they had each other to giggle with over One Direction and other things I know nothing of. It had been that kind of week. but there will be no dwelling on that. Here we are at the Venetian. Of course, t...

The Jenks Jive: Family Reunion
http://meljoefam.blogspot.com/2010/09/family-reunion.html
Wednesday, September 8, 2010. They had super fun horse back riding. The kids loved it! We got to guide them around this big pasture. Abby and Emily feeding the horses. Jen leading Josie's horse. We also went to the waterslide. It is a huge hill covered in plastic with running water. I was a little nervous at first but it was a blast! There was a lot to do. We never made it to the rope swing or the lake for boating. Giving my filthy kids baths in a tub in our cabin. PS It's super cheap, too!
