One bad mother's view of life in the strange lane. Laquo; your best isn’t good enough, but that’s OK. Are we “grown ups” yet? September 30, 2010. My son, who is now seven months old, is still learning how to sit up on his own. He’s making progress. I can set him on the floor now at a safe distance from the walls and any nearby furniture, and he teeters around. But eventually, he falls over and looks at me like. I read somewhere recently that expectations are just planned disappointments. I have not done ...

One bad mother's view of life in the strange lane. Laquo; “Clash of the Titans” broke my heart. Are we “grown ups” yet? Your best isn’t good enough, but that’s OK. September 29, 2010. I keep thinking about Matthew. He was twelve when I met him. Did he even make it to thirteen? Gently fingering the dark cross hatch of stitches that held together the incision from his latest surgery (. Did that make it number fifteen? He explained to me that he might cry unexpectedly and get tired a lot, and would I mind i...

Among these "Hills": Lost Christmas.
http://natalie-amongthesehills.blogspot.com/2012/12/lost-christmas.html
I will go before you and level the mountains" Isaiah 45:2. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. I showed you my DIY advent calendar earlier. I'm not going to pretend that I've used it every night. Twelve hour work days aren't conducive to evening activities. But, I have enjoyed what we have done so I'm focusing on that. I pray we are all a little more thankful for what we have this season. And I really loved this article. Entitled "When Advent Fails.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Among these "Hills": New Years Resolutions
http://natalie-amongthesehills.blogspot.com/2013/01/new-years-resolutions.html
I will go before you and level the mountains" Isaiah 45:2. Wednesday, January 2, 2013. I love January. After the hustle and bustle and just plain surviving we do for the holiday season, it's so nice to take a deep breath, exhale, and PLAN! I admit, I'm a nerd who loves lists and planners and the like. But, regardless of your affinity (or lack there of) for plans I'm convinced that New Years Resolutions just make good sense. If you don't set any goals, how will you ever move forward? 1 Strengthen my praye...

I will go before you and level the mountains" Isaiah 45:2. Wednesday, January 2, 2013. Also- reading the book "Behold the Lamb" as an advent devotional added so much to the story of Christmas for me. (Now I tell you, right? File that for next year. Foggy Christmas. I was working so the hubs went and took cool photos. Went to see Les Miserables with the in-laws. EXCELLENT movie. Must see. Sweet kitty under the tree. She wasn't exactly a Christmas gift, but she is a gift. Complete with a little star gazing.

The woman who speaks in this video Brene' Brown, states that what she discovered through her research presented here profoundly changed how she lived, loved, and parented. What she shared about her research has also hit me to the core. In a very good way. Please, watch the video before reading any of my thoughts. I don’t want to rob you of the experience as well! I will go before you and level the mountains" Isaiah 45:2. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. We are loving our new bathroom! I'm enjoying having my house in order for a little while before we start on the next project. I have a few small things I want to do, so stay tuned. I did find this. Today on a blog I follow. Apparently we forgot a detail in the bathroom. Are you laughing as hard as I am? And yes, I realize I'm a freak for following a blog called "unclutterer.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
