Monday, December 6, 2010. Confessions of an Put Upon Housewife. I feel like everything gets dumped on me during the holidays. I do all the cooking and cleaning and no one offers to help – even house guests don’t seem to notice that I am doing it all. I am starting to dread the holidays. How can I stop this misery? Dear Miss Martyr,. Are you doing things that are important to you or are you doing things that you think are important to other people. and if it is the second, are you finding joy in that?

Saturday, December 11, 2010. My dear husband took the kids to Walmart for his annual "It's time to buy Mom's presents" outing this morning. I'm at home, just Skipper and me, and I can't decide what to do first. Do I sleep? No, they'll be back before I know it. Do I wrap presents? No, they'll walk in any minute. Do I clean the house? No, I didn't mess it up, they did. Do I grade papers? Heck no, it's too early. Do I put up a new post on my forever forgotton blog? Posted by Lori, Lorelei, Lore.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009. My Hard Working Son! My son, Christian, is a hard working man. Well, almost a man. He comes home from Parts Plus. Just as tired as he can be. He's covered in black, icky grease. Which means he takes a shower IMMEDIATELY! He's not sure he likes being a working man. Let's face it, who does? He even has to walk to work from his school! Which is across the street). But he does it, nevertheless. Why, you might ask? Pretty much, because he gets paid! I am so proud of him. If it were you!
