Partner to Geoff, mum to 3, step-mum to 2, we also have dogs, chickens and ferrets sharing our country home. We live in a small village on the edge of the North Pennine fells amidst beautiful scenery. I love to sew, mainly for myself but sometimes less selfishly. I feel like I’m finally getting there with my step-daughter’s prom dress! After discussion she decided on a straight column dress, one shouldered, princess seams, very fitted with a split on one side. It’s all coming together! I also like that this pattern doesn’t use a lot of fabric, so you might even consider splurging a bit on a gorgeous wool (cashmere? Has some nice ones as well.). Well, I am getting married! The proposal happened over the Christmas holidays, it wasn’t a huge down on one knee gesture but lovely all the same, on the beach where we had our first date 2 and a half years ago now. We have all been living together nearly 2 years and it feels right to take this step. Finally, the completed Elisalex.
