Reacting to Jesus →. July 19, 2015. A Holy Dwelling Place. By The Laughing Rover. The altar at Notre Dame Basilica. St George the Martyr. July 19, 2015 – Proper 11. 2 Samuel 7:1-14a; Ephesians 2:11-22. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of all our hearts be acceptable to you, O Lord, our Rock and our Redeemer. Amen. Having been influenced by popular movie fiction, I had to remind myself of the facts of what the Ark actually looked like. Do we marry same-sex couples? If the church is the Temple ...

Montréal day 4 →. July 10, 2015. By The Laughing Rover. Not many pictures today – Kevin and I spent most of our time touring Old Town and browsing stores, and stopping for coffee, drinks, food…. A highlight was Notre Dame Basilica which is absolutely beautiful inside. Our evening was also very fun – two pics below. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. A Holy Dwelling Place →. July 11, 2015. By The Laughing Rover. Kevin and Karen in the botanical gardens. Came across a fantastic a capella group on the street. As we were enjoying the music a group of guys got up and started doing amazing dancing to the music. Two free shows for the price of one. Who needs to pay for entertainment? Not us, at least not in Montreal this weekend! Old Montréal at dusk. Free awesome concert for the International Percussion Festival going on. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
Sunday Morning Dream | Windswept Heights
https://sunsplitclouds.wordpress.com/2015/07/26/sunday-morning-dream
The Well That Washes →. July 26, 2015. By The Laughing Rover. As my friend and I watched, two cows suddenly started fighting over a third – one pulling its hind legs, the other pulling its forelegs. We were both laughing and feeling sorry for the cow stuck in the middle. Suddenly, the front leg broke with an audible crack, and came off. And I said to my friend, and wept as I said it, “Don’t we do that with God? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). And look leve...

A taste of riches | Today
https://kocbena.wordpress.com/2015/03/11/a-taste-of-riches
A taste of riches. March 11, 2015. My days alone are like little treasures. Especially the days that I have not booked anything, unsure if I’ll get a call to sub or not. When the sub call doesn’t come, I can’t say I’m too disappointed. Yesterday was one of those days. I actually did get asked to sub for the afternoon but even a morning of quiet is a beautiful thing. I kept snapping pictures because each turn seemed to reveal more beauty, another reminder of how much I have. At my feet. Majestic trees.
Living out my Dreams: now we're cooking with gas!
http://noboringlifehere.blogspot.com/2015/06/now-were-cooking-with-gas.html
Living out my Dreams. Friday, June 5, 2015. Now we're cooking with gas! Of course the gas ran out the day after my husband left on his trip. Stoves run on a bottle of gas here, similar to a gas barbeque grill. Having an electric stove wouldn’t really work out too well because the power cuts pretty often and because the price for electricity is high. A bottle of gas costs $20 or so to refill. Mine usually lasts for about 6 weeks. The gas had run out shortly after I had lit the oven. The distance between t...
The boys take over | Today

The boys take over. March 7, 2015. On Thursday night, my cousin, the infamous Jessica from Smart Nutrition. Salad: Spinach with balsamic vinegrette. Main course: beef and lentil samosas. Dessert: Chocolate peanut butter bars. Interview with the chefs:. Me: How did you decide on your menu? Luke: I just looked through the recipe book and found what I liked. Actually, we voted for some stuff. Like the dessert we voted on. Well, that’s not exactly true, we voted but then we changed our mind. Luke: Harder bec...
Zooming In and Zooming Out | Today

Zooming In and Zooming Out. June 16, 2015. The online world is a funny place. How does one truly be. Sometimes I want to be vulnerable, and other times it feels too much. I was looking at my mess of weeds this week, and managed to find a couple of surprise flowers sitting there. Quick – phone! Something went right and pretty, must capture! So the following photos are some zooms in and zooms out. The way it is and the way I wish it was. Do I have to eat it? It looks different than last time? My pretty peo...

All posts by Corinna. Just a woman, trying to find her way, do her best, have some fun, create, eat, parent, love, and hopefully take time to look around at this beautiful and messy world. I don’t even know where to begin…. May 4, 2016. Oh blogging. The thing about blogging is that when you disappear for a year you kinda feel like you have to explain yourself. It’s like so many things, once you’re out of the habit it’s hard to get back into it. But I’ll try…. The other news is that we’ve moved! Food real...
A different kind of classroom | Today

A different kind of classroom. April 16, 2015. Like all good days, this one started out with a hearty breakfast. We went to Pancake House and in a surprising and lovely coincidence, my dad just happened to show up too and joined us! That was the first of a few very pleasant surprises to our day. Here’s Luke sorting peppers with Lauren, the youth guy. After the message, we all ate together and got assigned our stations for the afternoon distribution. Luke learned how to break down the boxes from Mr. D...

Monday, April 20, 2015. Old haiku never die. They just get lost in a folder somewhere. Heat wave —. The baptist choir skips a verse. Of “free at last”. Faded sweet peas —. The choir director fans herself. With the church circular. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. My favorite kraut is mixed green cabbage/red cabbage/carrot, but I like to ferment red cabbage alone for its chemical magic. If you harvest foodstuffs and leave them in their natural state, they become infested with fungal spores and aerobic bacteria an...

Sun Splitters Home
We've got the reflections. Location can be important for the Sun Splitter. Of course, an outdoor location produces the most dramatic effects when the sun is low in the sky. Indoors, the ideal location should be an east or west room where the sun enters a room. As the Sun Splitter is extremely portable and moving it to follow the sun as the seasons change will help you get the most benefit all year. Ï 2009 - 2012 RPPhotography / W7e-Ins531.
