Friday, July 31, 2009. Late Tuesday night I arrived at the Philadelphia airport! Wednesday morning we drove to Grandpa's in Ocean City for our first beach day of the year! Often you will be sailboats, jet skis, parasails, kayaks, and fisherman enjoying the sea as well. A slice of pizza from Mack&Manco's, Water Ice from Rita's, a cone from Kohr Brothers (or TJ's), breakfast at Bob's, an Express wrap, a run on the boardwalk, a walk down Asbury, a treat from Wards, and even more! Monday, July 27, 2009. I've officially entered in the Bourbon Chase. http:/ bourbonchase.com/. On October 9th I will starting a 200-mile relay from Bardstown, Kentucky, winding through horse fields and over rolling hills to Rupp Arena in downtown Lexington. I am part of a 12 man team that will take turns racing the roads in a beautiful part of Kentucky. I would encourage everyone to enter.but the start list is ALREADY full! The streets downtown will be closed for the celebration! I graduated in December ...

Saturday, August 15, 2009. From the Jersey Shore to the Poconos. John, Marc, and I are working at a high school running camp called RunningWorks starting tomorrow. Although I will miss the beach, and I'm dieing to get back to Lexington, I think this will be a fun week! I met Ellen, a Villanova runner and camp counselor, last week when her and her boyfriend came to visit and loved her! I also met Marc's high school coach, also a counselor, Thursday night in Sea Isle and he was a great guy! I've been takin...

Friday, October 9, 2009. Relay Legs in the Bourbon Chase. I've already written about the Bourbon Chase. BOURBON CHASE BLOG. But I'm getting excited about the race, which starts TONIGHT, and thought I'd describe my part. Each leg of the 200 mile relay race has a name, set distance, difficulty rating, and description. Friday, October 9, 2009. Sis has a double life. Well, Mom headed to the beach this fall break so I stayed back in Kentucky at the house keeping Sis company for the last four nights. I was in for a easy, relaxing week of dog sitting myself, considering Sis only came home two of the four nights! I guess the crazy cat lady treats Elly's new friend as if she were her own. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Doggy Bags and GREs. There was a glimmer of hope when all the test takers were sent to the waiting room while the computers were being fixed.but.the computers got fixed. Here is how the next few hours unfolded:. 8:15 - Assigned an uncomfortable cubical and went to work. 8:30 - Completed the first essay (no proofreading, i just wanted to finish ASAP). 9:05 - Returned to my computer to see 2:41 left to finish the essay. I freaked, typed as fast as I could and said a little prayer.
