Adventures in Thai Food: December 2009
http://adventuresinthaifood.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Adventures in Thai Food. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. My mouth is still tingling.mmm. I was excited to try Ban Thai in White Bear Lake. I've seen very mixed reviews on the restaurant; positive from Lazy Lightning. And negative from Twin Cities Restaurant Blog. I also tried to go there once already, to find it closed due to a death in the family. His knowledge of the menu and different dishes was impressive. He was right about the spice level- I might not have been able to eat the meal if it was a 4! I've ...

Adventures in Thai Food: November 2010
http://adventuresinthaifood.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Adventures in Thai Food. Monday, November 1, 2010. Thai Spoon- Downtown Chicago. I arrived in Chicago as one of Target’s representatives at the NSHMBA Conference (National Society of Hispanic MBAs) and had a little time to kill before our team member training and needed some lunch. I decided to go for a walk around the hotel to find something to eat and to my delight, there was a Thai restaurant two blocks away! Spice level: order higher than normal. Thai Spoon and Sushi. 632 South Wabash Avenue.

Adventures in Thai Food: March 2011
http://adventuresinthaifood.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Adventures in Thai Food. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Thai- Cancun, Mexico. Recently, I was able to spend an entire week with my parents and a few friends in gorgeous Cancun. While there, we of course enjoyed Thai food. The restaurant we went to was called.Thai. Definitely not getting any points for creativity! Unfortunately, the food was totally fine (fine is NOT a good thing coming from me) and was extremely expensive. I've never paid $30 for a dish before and the food was definitely just okay.

Adventures in Thai Food: February 2010
http://adventuresinthaifood.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Adventures in Thai Food. Sunday, February 28, 2010. I had been anxious to try Rice Paper in the super cute Linden Hills area of South Minneapolis. The decor was great and the walls were covered with a picture mural of a forest (see below), but the service and food were disappointing. First of all, they were out of SEVERAL items! We tried to order an appetizer, out! I tried to order an entree, out! I was like.c'mon, you can't be running out of everything? Price: above average ($13-$18). 2726 W 43rd St.

Adventures in Thai Food: January 2010
http://adventuresinthaifood.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Adventures in Thai Food. Sunday, January 24, 2010. I knew before we arrived that I would order Pad See Yew (Rice noodles or egg noodles stir fried with egg, broccoli, napa cabbage, soy sauce, garlic and spices). A few years back, I ordered this dish to split with a friend and we ordered a 3 out of 4 for spice. It was so insanely hot that we couldn't eat it and they had to remake it (we felt HORRIBLE! Decor: really nice- great for a date! Spice level: right on! 3001 Hennepin Avenue S. Minneapolis, MN 55408.

Asian Flavors: January 2015

In Minnesota and around the world. Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Learn to cook Asian food from the experts. Some of the most memorable moments of my life were spent in the kitchen learning to cook traditional Chinese cuisine. The kitchen was run by the amazingly talented Florence Lin and whether it was in the training kitchen at the China Institute in America in New York City or Florence’s tiny kitchen in California, I learned something new and delicious every time. Sushi at Coastal Seafoods. With a variet...
