I couldn't stop turning heal side (ie. right) and would end up wiping out after coming all the way around fakie. I'm not quite ready for fakie! On the 3rd run I got going really well and ended up bea...

Proudly Selfish: Blowing Hard
http://proudlyselfish.blogspot.com/2011/08/blowing-hard.html
Thursday, August 25, 2011. I got into a conversation regarding wind power I'd like to share. Since I had listened to Alex Epstein's great Power Hour Interview. I was a bit more informed then my left leaning friend on energy issues. He did manage to stump me at one point so here is how the conversation went. The "intermittency and extreme variability of wind energy" means that you have to build as much conventional (coal, natural gas, nuclear, etc.) capacity wherever you build wind turbines. Ping Identity...

A blog about what induction is, what others in the past have said about it, and what I think it is. Saturday, August 25, 2012. Short Induction of "Man's Life as the Standard of Moral Value". I’ve shown what I think needs to be shown for the principle that “life is the standard of value.”. That applies to all living things as such. But humans are special, and it’s their special nature that brings in the necessity of morality. Everything I said in the previous section. Volition/Reason: Humans have volition...

Inductive Quest: On Axiomatic Concepts and Axioms

A blog about what induction is, what others in the past have said about it, and what I think it is. Wednesday, January 1, 2014. On Axiomatic Concepts and Axioms.
