Donate or Buy a Boat. As of the spring of 2014, the Centre maintains four rowing dinghies available for rental, a 10-foot Acorn, a 15-foot dory, a 16-foot Maine Peapod and a 14-foot Whitehall. The fleet grows every year, and should include a few small sailing dinghies in the near future. Two restored 15-foot Snipe racing dinghies are also available. All renters are expected to supply their own personal floatation device (PFD) and safety gear. Mon - Fri 8:00 am 4:00 pm. Wed - Sun 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

June 25, 2016. 2016 marks the 31st Anniversary of the Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre’s Annual Boat Festival. This fun-filled, family friendly festival is open to all. Click here for more information. Donate or Buy a Boat. The Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre offers fun for all ages. Our most popular activity for children is the wooden boat building booth located in the second pod along our pier. Wood, string, nails, and hammers are provided. This is a free activity. Adult supervision is required. During your visit children are welcome to pick up a scavenger hunt from our Main Building. New for Summer 2015! July 20-24 August 10-14 9:30am to 3:30 pm. For children ages 9 to 12. Or 250.746.4955.

Pod 2 - Boat Building. Details of lapstrake building construction (on right) and examples below. Please note the popular children’s boatbuilding bench at the end of the pod. Pod 3 -The Engines. Pleasure boaters and local inshore fishermen used a variety of inboard and outboard motors. Mon - Fri 8:00 am 4:00 pm.
