Thoughts of a quantum agnostic. The Life of a Theorist. This is a permanent link to one of my most popular posts (not surprisingly it is one that demonstrates my innate “Charlie Brown” qualities). It first appeared here on July 1, 2007. 11:00-1:00 Assist with solar observing session sponsored by my local astronomy club. Mentally unstable girl spent entire time attempting to kiss me. Thoughts of a quantum agnostic. The Decline of Reason? Everyone should read this. The copy appearing on that page has errors clearly introduced during the copying process, but the underlying argument is brilliant and biting. Thanks to Günther Greindl. Thoughts of a quantum agnostic. Objective reality (and the return of this blog). On May 19, 2015 by quantummoxie. So what is it that has me so inspired as to start clicking away again? Objective reality. Yes, indeed, folks I get that worked up over objective reality. It’s been a theme running through my life of late. Or, rather, it’s the denial of objective reality by other people that has gotten me riled up. George Orwell wrote a lot about objective reality. Time were relative, i.e. Notably, special (an...

Thoughts of a quantum agnostic. Pictures I took of the recent lunar eclipse (only two came out, but not bad considering I just snapped them with my digital camera). That’s Saturn down to the left. The files are pretty large just so you know. Four recent photos of the Merriland River in Wells, Maine. Water’s still a little high (and cold) for the trout to be biting, but it’s getting there. And a recent brook trout I caught in a nice morning of fishing in town…. Couple of small bass…. Sunset near Big Sky.
