A documentary needs to stand on its own. Sound- narration, dialogue, interviews, and music- may help the audiences to interpret. A documentary is made to communicate to an audience. A documentary communicates through strong visual images organized in sequence to make a statement. Cutting the part where nothing happens.

INFO 303: Writing Across Media. The map that I created depicts the route that I march on the football field during the Marching Illini pregame show. At the surface, this ties easily into cartography because it demonstrates specific directions and a set order of doing things. Deeper down, this map also holds a lot of symbolic relevance to myself and my college experience. With over 300 people on the field, it is not surprising that most of my dots are in the same area.
