Sunday, August 3, 2014. Need to take your average terra cotta pots to the next level? Terra cotta pots and coasters (any size! A complimentary paint color (we used non-spray paint for the accent color). Start by applying a coat (or two) of spray paint on your pots. be sure to check the dry time on your paint, so that it's dry before you apply the accent color. Tip: be sure to paint the inside of your pots, so that whatever is visible once the plant is in there is the right color (and not terra cotta).

Circle stencil or a circle-shaped glass. Start by rolling out your clay to form the outside of the pot. You can use a rolling pin, or get creative and use a blue water bottle like us! Use a straight edge or a triangle with a knife to cut the bottom and sides straight. Wrap your sides around the circle and cut off the excess.

Monday, April 9, 2012. DIY: Spring Easter Egg Garland. Newspaper or paper bags. Bring 1 1/2 cup water to a boil. In a separate bowl, dissolve 3 teaspoons of corn starch in 3 tablespoons of cold water. When the water boils, pour the corn starch mixture in, and stir for 2 minutes - the mixture will be slightly cloudy. Remove from the heat, and let cool to room temperature. Cardboard (we used some ikea boxes from a recent furniture purchase). Heavy duty scissors, or exacto knife. Shipping or painters tape. Tissue paper of varying colors. Runny glue or mod podge.
