A Lower Elementary Montessori Blog. Here is one of the portraits made during our art session today. After talking about Groundhog’s day we thought it was a good tie in to practice drawing portraits, using scissors, and careful tracing skills. The students drew their portrait, cut it out, then traced the outline of the portrait onto a black construction paper. Then the outline was cut out and the feet of both papers were attached with a small piece of tape. Each portrait turned out wonderfully unique!
