Do I Need a Modem? You will not need to purchase or rent a modem to connect our network. Depending on how your community is set up, you will be able to directly connect your computer to our wired or wireless network, set up your account, and get connected. If your community has wired connections, you can use a wireless router to connect to your wired connection. You will need to make sure it is a router and not a modem.
