One of our work experience students has taken on the organising of another trip to Kisoro to help English teaching and the sex education programme at the schools. He also hopes to look at setting up a first aid network for the more remote areas. Newly qualified psychology graduates went out out in July 2013 to gain work experience in Kampala. After receiving results from Mulehe Primary school, we have improved the pass rates into secondary school. In 2009 only 13 children out of 49 managed to move up into government funded secondary school. In 2010 we have improved by sending 32 children out of 39 into government funded secondary schools. Support Lunch Break was established in 2009 by Hope and Allen Othieno, Ugandans living just outside Cambridge, with many contacts in Africa. Hope and Allen and the other trustees have mobilised family and friends in the UK and abroad, to provide money, resources and expertise to further their work starting with Mulehe Primary School in Kisoro, Southern Uganda, near the country’s borders with the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda.
