Billie Cromwell reports that he was there on the day the hard surface was torn up. A big dozer arrived with a scarifier attached to the blade and in a short time the blacktop was removed. This section of Winslow Hill Road is now a narrow gravel road for the time being. Below is the view looking up the hill with the old parking lot being on the left. The composition of these groups is not static and it is possible to see a bull with several others on one day and then see him on the next day with another group of bulls. May we make a difference! Pennsylvania Elk Rut-Activity Is Now Spotty. 6x7 Charges Smaller Bull. They locked antlers several times and fought violently for brief periods before the smaller bull ran off and left the 6x7 in control of the harem. I saw more elk including a few bulls before darkness fell, but the photo above was the highlight of the evening.
