The calendar may say that Tuesday, Sept. 22 is the last day of summer, but if you are school age or have children who go to school, then you know that date is incorrect. In reality, this coming Wednesday, Aug. 12 is the end of summer. This coming Wednesday is the first day of school for students in Williamson County. It is the end of being able to stay up later each night. Naturally, this is a downer. True, they are different.

Sunday, August 9, 2015. Mark's thoughts: What is soft antinomianism? During its first century of existence, Lutheranism wrestled with two forms of antinomianism. In the first, Johann Agricola argued that it is the Gospel, not the Law, which works repentance in unbelievers. Martin Luther and the Lutherans rejected this antinomianism as they affirmed that it is the Law which works repentance. In the same way, Article VI of the Formula of Concord left no doubt that the Law must be spoken to Christians.
