Father and Son, Model Rocket Projects and Launches. The Blackhawk Begins: Or, when in doubt, add more glue. November 4, 2013. I thought that my initial project would have been the Stiltfin because it looked relatively easy. However, I found myself starting out with perhaps the most difficult of the bunch, the Blackhawk. This rocket was originally produced by the Estes company in the mid 90’s. The Projects—or, if you aim for the sky, can you ever miss? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Father and Son, Model Rocket Projects and Launches. The Blackhawk Flies: Or, I love it when a plan comes together…. November 11, 2013. The maiden flight of the Blackhawk was launched on a low-powered A8-3 motor. Here is the video of the launch. My apologies for the shaky video. This was the first time Kara had watched us launch and she didn’t realize how fast the rockets leave the launch pad. The second flight we upped the power of the motor to a B6-4 motor. Here is the video of the second flight:. Six l...

Not to be mistaken with the low-rent tenements of the inner cities, this is a list of the model rockets Andrew and I will be working on for the next few months. But I wanted to challenge myself, and build something exotic and perhaps inspire us to push ourselves even further. Like a kid in a candy shop, I scrolled through the pages and finally settled on 9 various rockets.

Father and Son, Model Rocket Projects and Launches. Blog Launch, or I am not too old to play with toys. October 23, 2013. Last weekend my 5 year old son Andrew and I went out the ROC launch site at the Lucerne Valley dry lake bed to debut our first three rockets. This was our very first launches so we took our time making sure we had everything set up safely. When we went to launch the first of the rockets, an Estes Tazer, I broke one of the fins off before we even got a chance to launch it! I don’...
