Saturday, July 29, 2006. The Visit in Nebraska. I was blessed to go to Nebraska on Thursday last week to visit my children and grandchild. I stayed until Tuesday morning and came back to Texas with Gail, then spent a few days being really sick. Time to catch up. I hope that Matt and Laura will have many really good days to go with the rough days. Being parents is not always easy, but even the rough days can be better with some help. Ever wonder why so much of the bible deals with the way we treat others instead of our jobs? With whom do I tend to identify? If Jesus thought we could make the Christian life work by ourselves, why do we have church? Do we gather to hear a great lesson, study the bible, have some great singing? We could, in today's environment, do those all by ourselves.
