When I heard him say this it caught my attention because in my journey I have been very interested in clearing limiting patterns held within the subconscious mind. Who doesn't want to free of the baggage, right? It becomes an endless spiritual treadmill of seeking but seldom finding. I have heard it said that ego fears its own dissolution and needs us to be asleep (unconscious) in order for it to control or run the show. Once we start to awaken and realize that the egoic mind isn't really who we are, we can step back from the game and witness it.
