Friday, January 30, 2015. Performing in Palm Springs. This month, Ivan and I were asked to sing for a corporate gala hosted in La Quinta, Palm Springs, CA. We sang 3 different inspirational songs during their awards ceremony. It turned out beautifully! Such a fun and new concept- singing a few songs and then not being needed anymore, makes you really fall in love with this gig life! We even got to stay longer at the resort, swim, go shopping and we went on a few hikes near the Indian reservation!

Thursday, September 25, 2014. We finally spotted the sign hanging on a chainlink fence covered with fake green grass. Someone had hung up random-shaped paper cutouts around the sign on the fence. That didn't inspire confidence as to the quality of the fair inside. There was also music blaring loudly from within the fence, and shiny silver and gold balloons anchored at the fence's entrance. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. This last weekend we started hearing about a giant blizzard that was supposed to hit us Monday and Tuesday. Dubbed Blizzard Juno, it was supposed to be a historic storm and drop an estimated 4 inches of snow per hour. Brian just kept saying that he wanted a nice "gentle blizzard" - enough snow to justify some time off, but not so bad that it actually caused damage or emergencies. He ended up getting his wish. Tuesday, April 29, 2014. After visiting the FDR Memorial, we continued our walk around the basin towards the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Sunday, April 12, 2015. I took my time walking back to Brian. I love the rows of maple trees that run around the park.
