Art By Aude: August 2010
http://audegeltzer.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I was very inspired by a temporary exhibit at the museum of Primitive Arts in Paris last May. There were paintings from Indians from rural India, who created magnificent artwork out of cow dung and dirt, or a little paint and a stick. It amazed me. When I came back home, I created the following paintings. Paper and acrylic on canvas 12 x 48 in (122 cm x 30 cm). Acrylic and oil pastels on canvas 12 x 48 in. Paper, acrylic and oil pastels on canvas 28 x 22 in (56 cm x 72 cm).

Thursday, May 10, 2012. In the following work, I was interested in incorporating my favorite magazine into my artwork. I am fascinated by the power of words in prints and in the verbal expressions within relationships. On a technical aspect, I like the texture it gives on the canvas. I used the spaces of the grid to show different kinds of relationships between various entities. Acrylic, paper, rope 30 x 40in. Acrylic, paper, rope 30 x 40in. Acrylic, paper, rope 12x12in.
