Is there any other kind? Laquo; Book 5: Pride and Prejudice. My Immediate Book Post. February 20, 2014 by sjohnston522. It’s been almost a year. In case anyone is waiting anxiously, I did meet my goal of reading 52 books last year. I read 53, in fact. It was awesome to sort of re-establish reading as a “go-to” habit of mine rather than mindless blog surfing. Obviously I did not fare so well in my efforts to write more. My husband started a blog. 1 What book are you reading now? The Princess and the Goblin.

Re-reads definitely count toward my 52 Books goal this year though I am trying to minimize them. I had another book all read to go. In fact, I’d already read the first chapter. But it was sort of awful (more on that next post) and I heard Monday (almost two weeks ago! I’m not behind on reading, but I am behind on posting about it! But I couldn’t find it! My Top Five Books.

Susan died Monday August 11 2008 at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston NY of the effects of peritoneal cancer diagnosed one year earlier. She was 66; she had just celebrated her 40th wedding anniversary. The photograph on the left was taken in her garden in Tillson NY 17 days before her death. An obituary appeared in the Sunday Freeman August 17 2008. The thumbnail painting to the right leads to a gallery of Susan's previous paintings. Contact: her husband Shaun Johnston.
