BA Hons, Glasgow School of Art. The work is mostly, but not exclusively functional and domestic, of which lighting design forms an important part. Narrative is sometimes expressed tongue in cheek, such as with the use of kitsch, re-evaluating objects in a contemporary context. The juxtaposing of form and texture and the use of found materials gives the work an edgy, modern twist. Materials and techniques used depend on requirements, porcelain being particularly suited to many of my projects.
