Friday, September 4, 2015. Smoked Beef Brisket - Oh yeahhhhhhh. And it's Labor Day weekend to boot. I'm looking forward to some chillin' time with my peeps. John is taking off the afternoon and he'll be expecting the brisket to be swaddled in its rub and ready to take a long siesta in the smoker. Yes, he's starting the smoker up two days ahead of time. He is the "Grill Master" so what he says goes - I don't question it. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup kosher salt. 1/4 cup chili powder. 1/4 cup dry mustard.

Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Beat together until well blended;. In a separate bowl, combine;. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. Add dry ingredients to the oil-sugar mixture and mix well. Batter will be thick. 2 cups grated and well-drained zucchini. Replace 1 cup of the zucchini with 1 cup well-ripened, mashed banana. Bake in a 9 x 5 greased loaf pan at 350 degrees approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (less for muffins). Allow to cool with pan turned on its side. 1/4 cup melted butter.
