Getting through a Master's Degree one meltdown at a time:). December 12, 2012. Hope you’re all doing ok:). So this week I found myself extremely stressed. It’s coming to the end of the semester and deadlines are creeping up, so I decided to write this blog on stress relief! I have been taking part in a series of classes called ‘mindfulness based stress reduction’ over the past few weeks in an attempt to lower my stress levels, and although I was a bit hesitant at first, I actually think they’re working!

I was busy trying to juggle Christmas with studying for my exams one thing that I will NOT miss once I complete this year! I was very happy to realise that that was the last time I will ever have to study over Christmas:) (hopefully! And again, feel free to let me know if you make similar resolutions at the beginning of every new semester too:).

I remember when I started to draw. It was in an elementary school classroom when I was 10 years old. Perhaps it started in the Spring when children really want to be outdoors and cannot wait for the 3PM bell to ring and let them out into the real world again. And I was restless, very restless, with the droning of the teacher’s voice putting me to sleep after lunchtime. There was all this extra room on the margins of my notebook that just called for a doodle. And the Art began. Oil on Boarded Canvas.
