Catherine Chi Illustration: June 2010
http://cat-chi.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2010. I haven't done likenesses in a while, but here are two I've been working on. I decided to challenge myself and keep them simple. Björk started off as a type illustration assignment, so I went in a similar direction for Freddy Mercury. I'm going to do a few more. Any suggestions? I'm thinking Amy Winehouse. Lorraine Nam: Cards
http://lorrainenam.blogspot.com/2013/03/cards.html
Tuesday, March 5, 2013. I know it's March and not even remotely close to a card giving holiday but here are some that I received from my wonderfully talented friends. Who works for Moxie House. Sent these little goodies to me! You know that feeling when an object just feels so perfect? It has the right weight, the right texture and thickness. Well, these cards are just that. These hilarious personalized cards are from my friend, Susanne Lamb. The first card is of Shahrukh Khan. Posted by Lorraine Nam.

Lorraine Nam: March 2013
http://lorrainenam.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 7, 2013. Here's a quick pencil sketch of something I've been working on. And here's the much bigger cut paper version. I found this paper at a Brooklyn art supply store and it seriously cuts like buttah. The color is also amazing in person. This photo just doesn't do it justice. P.S. Can you spot Balto. Catherine Chi Illustration: New Work!
http://cat-chi.blogspot.com/2010/05/new-work.html
Sunday, May 16, 2010. I've been a bad, bad, blogger. Here are a few new(ish) things:. Cover for an untitled Benjamin Franklin biography. Apparently Ben Franklin was one of the first known American chess players, as well as something of a ladies man. A couple of pin-up girls, for a collaborative jewelry project I'm working on with fellow pin-up enthusiast, and genuinely awesome person, Amelia Tatro (more details to follow). And now for a complete change of pace:. Cover for A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010. I'm a soon-to-be-graduating Illustration Senior at the Rhode Island School of Design. I love and am inspired by classic cinema and corny technicolor musicals, fairy tales, pulp covers, period fashion, vintage ads and real Chinese food. I plan to update this blog with plenty of sketchbook, in progress and finished work, so check back often! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I like old things. Illustration, RISD 2010.
