Posted by Pam Jenkins on August 9th, 2016. This morning an energetic group of young Curtis patrons constructed fairy houses in the library’s butterfly garden. This is one of my favorite activities for kids – it’s outdoors, inexpensive, collaborative, creative, and fun! Take a peek in the garden if you have a chance and be inspired to create your own fairy houses! More inspiration can be found in some of our wonder-ful books including. Fairy Houses All Year: A Four-Season Handbook. By Liza Gardner Walsh;.

The Tender Heart of Teaching. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Saved by the Read-Aloud by Ryan M. Hanna. This is a simple story. A small reflection. But, it has weighed heavily on my mind and heart since the end of last school year, and what better day to share it than on Surprise Sunday? I made a surprising discovery this past school year. I just read Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking. What an amazing book! It was beautifully written and so validating! I Can READ this!
