Jibun | Japan – Shiranigans in Asia
https://shirasia.wordpress.com/2015/04/02/jibun-japan
Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. Right after I came back from Taiwan, Meran visited me for about ten days for her spring break! It was really fun, although she got food poisoning (or stomach flu? For part of it. We went to eat all kinds of yummy foods (obvi), including a stop at Tongchuan fish market in northern Shanghai, where you get to pick your own seafood fresh – and then take it to a nearby restaurant that cooked it (priced by the kg) deliciously! 8220;I’m here! In Feb 2015,...
Work, Weekend, and Wakeboarding – Shiranigans in Asia
https://shirasia.wordpress.com/2015/08/11/work-weekend-and-wakeboarding
Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. Work, Weekend, and Wakeboarding. Already done with my second Tuesday of work! Which means I’m done with my first full week in Hong Kong and have gotten to enjoy a real weekend (the first weekend I was here, I essentially spent the entire weekend in bed, trying to remember why I’d taken a ridiculous flight in the middle of the night…). Baby steps. Woohoo! And later this week, I’ll go to Happy Hour and have oysters with some more coworkers....For the...
Savory – Shiranigans in Asia

Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. Where do I even begin with food? I won’t. Just look at the pictures. Yes, I ate every single thing shown here – and much, much more – during my nine-month assignment in Shanghai (NOTE: not all the food is from Shanghai, but it was within the duration of my Shanghai assignment). Asia Again and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs – Shiranigans in Asia
https://shirasia.wordpress.com/2015/08/02/asia-again-and-maslows-hierarchy-of-needs
Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. Asia Again and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. I know you like my new blog layout. Tell me that you do, because I spent way too much time on this layout stuff. Haha. After spending a month back in the U.S. seeing family and friends, I’m in Asia again – this time in Hong Kong for another 9 months. My personal theory on this is based off of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, shown below:. I guess we will find out to see whether or not my theory makes any sense.
Shiranghai: A Reflection – Shiranigans in Asia
https://shirasia.wordpress.com/2015/07/15/shiranghai-a-reflection
Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. I’m back in the States now – I’ve been back a little over two weeks but they’ve been a busy two weeks. I’ve barely had time to catch my breath and really reflect on my Shanghai experience, but the question, “How was Shanghai? 8221; comes up in every single conversation I’ve had since coming back. Everyone should just read this blog entry, so I don’t have to retell the same story. Just kidding. So, how was Shanghai? So for these reasons, I’m t...
Taiwan with Tini Wan – Shiranigans in Asia
https://shirasia.wordpress.com/2015/03/16/taiwan-with-tini-wan
Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. Taiwan with Tini Wan. Can I just say that I realized today I’ve been in Shanghai for a little more than SIX MONTHS. How has it already been six months? I simultaneously feel like I just got here but also that I’ve been here forever. HALF A YEAR. WHERE HAS TIME GONE? So literally the day after Chase left Shanghai two weeks ago, I got on a flight to Taiwan to visit Justine! Wait, so seriously, why did I bother writing all these w. In case you haven&#...

Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. Featuring some of my favorite scenes from my first short-term assignment in Shanghai and the places I traveled from there during those nine months. Scenic photos were taken by me; photos of me were taken by friends or by my trusty selfie stick. Sorry it’s not in chronological order…I tried to fix it but failed😦. Wuzhen, China. [October 2014]. Namieseom Island, Korea. This is where they filmed Winter Sonata! Taipei, Taiwan. I liked this street!

Shirong Kong, Shiranghai, and Shireverything in Between. Hong Kong: First Impressions and My Biggest Fear. It’s your lucky day, guys! I have jetlag and have been up since 4AM, so what better way to kill time than to write my second blog post in less than twelve hours? Gosh, isn’t it pretty? One thing I’m excited for about Hong Kong is that there are mountains and water EVERYWHERE, so I hope to get to enjoy a lot of that during my time here through hikes and trips to the water. Here are some pictures:.
