Fiber Art By Andrea: March 2013
http://fibersong.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Fiber Art By Andrea. Sunday, March 31, 2013. Above is a machine gun type of contraption, which could shoot 9 shells at one time without reloading. And below is the first "tank", which looked like a weird-looking Yurt, but which had wheels and cannons to shoot. There were seats inside for four men to operate the wheels and guns. Not quite sure how they could see out of the tank to aim, but it certainly was innovative! Thursday, March 21, 2013. I used commercial fabrics and some of my rusted fabric (shock!

Fiber Art By Andrea: February 2013
http://fibersong.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Fiber Art By Andrea. Sunday, February 24, 2013. I'm Back with some Postcards. Wow, I can't believe I have been gone so long! This one was done with some rusted fabric I did; the rused fabric is textured. Hand stitching and some French knots finish the piece. This postcard is again made with rusted fabric, hand stitching, some beads and pieces of fabric with text. As you can see, I've got some rusted fabrics with me, as well as black! Fiber Art By Andrea: August 2013
http://fibersong.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Fiber Art By Andrea. Monday, August 5, 2013. The above postcard has some dyed cheesecloth to simulate water and several commercial cottons as background mountains. This postcard was inspired by a technique from Gloria Loughman's book, Radiant Landscapes. I used a copy-write free image of a palm tree in the front, and my rusted fabrics as the background. I'll post some others, as I send them out; I don't want to share them here until I've sent them to the birthday people. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I've ...

Fiber Art By Andrea: June 2012
http://fibersong.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Fiber Art By Andrea. Thursday, June 28, 2012. I have made a couple of changes to the truck piece. I asked for some suggestions from a friend, Ellen Lindner, who does wonderful art quilts and teaches some really fun, informative classes online and in person, ( www.AdventureQuilter.com. I watered down some black acrylic paint and darkened the leaves and tree, and I really think it improved the piece, don't you? Monday, June 25, 2012. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Fiber Art By Andrea: Messages from the Orient
http://fibersong.blogspot.com/2015/04/messages-from-orient.html
Fiber Art By Andrea. Saturday, April 11, 2015. Messages from the Orient. Several years ago, as part of a "Messages From." challenge posed by my group Seams Unique, I created my "Messages From the Orient" piece. The piece had to be 20 x 30 inches in a vertical format. This is what I came up with, and I really liked the way it came together. The kimono was from a pattern, made separately. I did another kimono and put it on a painted canvas for a smaller piece.
