Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness. Daydreaming On The Bright Side! I'm not freaking out.I promise! Its been awhile since I updated on here, that’s because I’m about to rush head on into finals (2 weeks left of class and then right into them). Things haven’t been amazing in a few areas to the point I’ve been musing on giving up…I never would I promise! But sometimes the thought that it would be the easiest thing to do crosses my mind. I need to sleep! Oh and just to complete things, when I fell and broke ...

Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness: Home on 'break'...
http://alessea.blogspot.com/2009/08/home-on-break.html
Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness. Daydreaming On The Bright Side! I got asked the other day if I was home on break or home because of the break lol! Technically I'm home on break but if it hadn't conveniently been a scheduled uni break I may have had to take time off anyway. The OT has been persistent in reminding that the shaken brain deserves time to heal and that not giving it what it needs now may come back and bite me in the back so to speak. Friday, 28 August 2009. Hey you, Beautiful Lady! GP noti...

Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness: When the price for not doing is greater than the price for doing
http://alessea.blogspot.com/2009/11/when-price-for-not-doing-is-greater.html
Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness. Daydreaming On The Bright Side! When the price for not doing is greater than the price for doing. I've been working on this post off and on few a few weeks but now have hopefully finished it, I dont think its as good as I wanted it to be but I hope it makes sense despite that. When the price for not doing is greater than the price for doing. And that is a force to be reckoned with (and sometimes it needs to be). Have you heard of the spoon theory. This is what has got m...

Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness: November 2009
http://alessea.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness. Daydreaming On The Bright Side! Hip surgery 3 years on. Its hard to believe it was 3 years ago today I had my surgery, 3 years is not that long but seems like forever when I think about what has taken place since. And now my open hip surgery for labral pathology and FAI has now become an arthroscopic procedure that my surgeon performs (and Jess knows that only too well lol). So I think I'm going to say "Happy birthday" born again hip! Sunday, 22 November 2009. Heres the...

Smiles, Butterflies and Happiness. Daydreaming On The Bright Side! Its been a long month. and a lot has happened which I probably meant to keep updated on here but I'm sure you will forgive me :) the real world takes up so much time and energy that its hard to find the time to fit in all my cyber wantings. So what have I been up to? Thats a good question. and to save you reading a novel I shall bullet point the past 4 weekish. Traveling back home again (another 6 hour bus ride). Due to increasingly worse...

Adam's Crossfit Blog: Possibly the last treatment for my right hip????
http://youdontknowmefromadam.blogspot.com/2015/03/possibly-last-treatment-for-my-right-hip.html
A man's journey to fitness. Monday, March 30, 2015. Possibly the last treatment for my right hip? Once I’m allowed back into resistance training, I’m planning on doing some pilates and yoga to work on these muscles. I imagine with a healed hip the movements will be much easier to perform. They say to help deal with injuries you need to work on core strength, but what happens when it’s your core that is injured? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Email me at adam.fai.hip@gmail.com. Hip To Be Square?: September 2011
http://scarlettsquarehips.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Hip To Be Square? Tuesday, September 6, 2011. I’ve been having a lot of doubts lately about the RPAO. The left side hurt before surgery. All of the time. Badly. My activities were limited. My quality of life was degraded. So it made sense to have the LPAO. To get the left hip “fixed.” And now that it’s done, I have no regrets. The constant, unbearable pain is gone. I feel. Better than before the LPAO. Than normal. I still have SI joint pain (this is a real bummer)! I'm so torn…. We go to Detroit to see Z...

Although the recovery is said to be easier with a hip replacement, they are not ideal for younger people as they need to be revised frequently, leading to a possible 7 additional surgeries for someone my age. Also, active people generally can not resume their higher level of activity. How Hip Dysplasia Works. About PAO and Dysplasia. Water Therapy Hip Book. SuperHipChick’s Journey to Freedom.

Hip To Be Square?: December 2012
http://scarlettsquarehips.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Hip To Be Square? Monday, December 3, 2012. 1 Year Post RPAO / 2 Years Post LPAO. Hard to believe sometimes that it has been 2 years since I had my first hip surgery. I think maybe it’s about time to stop considering myself a “hip patient” now… OK? Here’s how some specific things have turned out:. Walking isn’t really a problem anymore… My feet hurt before my hips hurt! I think this is just going to take a long time… the left side is definitely (although only slightly) less sensitive than the right.
