http://www.sustainable-mum.blogspot.com/2015/04/mosiac.html

Weaving the Fabric of Life. April was a month of contrasts. Of snow, rain, sleet and sunshine. Of hats, coats, short sleeved t-shirt and sandals. Of walks in the woods and a walk around our capital city. What about your month? 29 April 2015 at 09:26. We went from sandals and bare feet to wellingtons and waterproof trousers! Strange weather this year X. 1 May 2015 at 08:16. It is, I so hope it is not a sign of things to come. 29 April 2015 at 10:13. 1 May 2015 at 08:17. 29 April 2015 at 20:17. Your April ...

sustainablemum: Hope

http://www.sustainable-mum.blogspot.com/2015/04/hope.html

Weaving the Fabric of Life. The main lesson I have learnt in all those years is to grow only what is suitable for my climate, seems simple, but there are many plants that I thought were and are grown successfully by others in my area. My limited space means that I have to choose carefully, whilst always growing what we actually like eating. Living, as I do, in the UK our maritime climate. My garden is looking a little bare right now, I am busy sowing seeds, but you can see pictures of it here. Were only ...

sustainablemum: November 2014

http://www.sustainable-mum.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Weaving the Fabric of Life. It is dark till late in the morning these days. We have taken to lighting candles for our breakfast table and leaving them burning until the light comes in. It is one of the things I find difficult about this time of year but in less than a month the days will be increasing again, even if the weather takes longer to brighten up the daylight is a blessing. Light is one of the links between the two books I have read this month, I do love links and connections don't you? I mentio...

http://www.sustainable-mum.blogspot.com/2015/04/moments_27.html

Weaving the Fabric of Life. A lovely weekend doing things with my family, sunshine, sowing seeds, talking to someone who I wasn't sure about and finding out that we have so much in common. At bumping into a old colleague and hearing that she left because she was the victim of a witch hunt at our old place of work, the two colleagues responsible (senior managers) were later sacked. The last few rows of my Shalom, the start of a cardigan, a plan for a new project. The Making of the British Landscape. Im so...

sustainablemum: Home Education

http://www.sustainable-mum.blogspot.com/p/home-education.html

Weaving the Fabric of Life. We made our decision to home educate in 2009 when my eldest was three, by the end of that year we had to apply for a place at a local primary school. We didn't apply and neither of my children have ever been to school. You can read about why and how we came to our decision here. I am based in the UK where it is the parents legal responsibility to ensure a child receives an education, as the education act. A) to his age, ability and aptitude, and. And its associated blog. Well ...

Four Joyful Pixies: June 2011

http://threejoyfulpixies.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 29 June 2011. We have stayed outdoors for whole days this week as it has been too hot to do anything other than hide beneath the leafy trees. We are very grateful for trees this week. We made tea outdoors too, using the clay bread oven on the camp site. When it gets hot enough it cooks pizza in one minute. Jahara had milk while the rest of us ate pizza. Whilst the pizza was cooking, Mia, Tarka and Willow tried to master cartwheels and handstands and played frisbee. Monday, 20 June 2011. Yester...

http://threejoyfulpixies.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, 19 February 2012. Pirate ships and dog fish. January. Lots of chilly walks in the woods and by the sea. When Tarka saw this he yelled 'Look, a real pirate ship' at the top of his voice. Although he said the best part of the day was finding a dead dogfish. Jahara is walking now, she took her first steps the day after her ninth month birthday. In front of the tower. Mia and Tarka rode on a carousel in Cardiff City Centre whilst visiting the nannas. This is Isla, she was a stray cat who gave birth t...
