Her first involvement with energy issues was with the Boston Clamshell Alliance in the 1970s (opposing the Seabrook nuclear power plant and promoting solar and wind alternatives). The Gateway to Sustainability in Western North Carolina. Maggie Leslie, Program Director, WNC Green Building Council. Maggie Leslie has been working for the WNC Green Building Council since 2003, though became full-time staff in July of 2006. As a volunteer, Maggie served as Treasurer for the Council and chair of the Million Solar Roofs Initiative.
