It was the last day of the holiday, and I really can’t think of the right words…the scenery was sooo stunning that there are very few words – and for this reason I make no excuse for the volume of photo’s on this final post in the series. Snow-capped mountains in the distance. Beautiful autumn colours forming a patterned valley down the mountain. The road to the mountains. Trees growing in impossible terrain. The rough and the smooth mountains.

We drove a whole day (about 11 hours) to get from LA to Monument Valley, but we were sure it would be worth it and I took lots of photos on the road. Our next stop should have been Grand Canyon, but we will have to do that from our Vegas stop now. Venice beach was very pleasant, a wide sandy beach. With a promenade showing pedestrian lane and cycle lane for roller skaters (& bycicles obviously). We found our new beach house here.
