The Word Is...: Celebrate the small things
http://www.suzannefurness.blogspot.com/2015/07/celebrate-small-things.html
Friday, 10 July 2015. Celebrate the small things. And her lovely co-hosts. Writing Off The Edge. Tonja Drecker @ Kidbits Blog. I am a bit late getting this post up this week - apologies for that! I have house guests this week so that has meant less time for blogging activities. Writing has been off my 'to do' list as well. Maybe it is a lack of motivation, maybe a lack of time, more than likely a combination of both! Yay for the weekend, a friend's birthday celebration and some home grown gooseberries.

Friday, 17 April 2015. Celebrate the small things. In other news I managed a little writing. A few hundred words were added to my latest project. Finally, I have to mention the weather. The last few days have been glorious. It has been lovely to be able to leave the house without the need for coat and boots! I don't know how long it will last, but will celebrate the sunshine whilst it is here. Thanks to our lovely host Lexa. And her team of co-hosts. Writing Off The Edge. Celebrate the small things.

Sunday, 21 December 2014. Just a very short post to wish all of my friends, far and wide, a happy and peaceful holiday season. Friday, 12 December 2014. Celebrate Good Times . Amidst the whirlwind that is December, I thought I would take a moment to join in the celebrations hop as I haven't managed it for a few weeks. So what's been happening here that is worthy of celebration? The biggest celebration is that our youngest daughter is coming home this weekend from Uni! And her team of co-hosts. This is ho...

Monday, 10 August 2015. A mid summer check in . Thought I would drop by the blog and let you know what I've been up to recently. I'm still likely to be a bit sporadic around these parts for another week or so as I am taking every opportunity to focus on my writing at the moment. I even have the germ of a new idea fizzing about my head and a new character that just won't go away! I want to sit down and make some notes and see if it can lead somewhere. I think it could be interesting. I am looking forward ...

Only a Matter of Miles...: December 2014
http://helenmaslin.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Only a Matter of Miles. Wednesday, 24 December 2014. Shopping for our tree in the sunshine. And a tree covered in tiny toys in Eight-year-old's room. Tuesday, 16 December 2014. My Blog is Three Years Old Today! And this was my first ever post, written on the 16th December 2011. Probably one of my shortest ever posts, but it says what I wanted to say. I was feeling a lot of quietly simmering determination and I needed to record it somewhere. I think. And you can buy it for £7.99. Wednesday, 3 December 2014.

Louise Walters Writer: Mrs Sinclair's Suitcase is coming to America
http://louisewalterswriter.blogspot.com/2015/08/mrs-sinclairs-suitcase-is-coming-to.html
Monday, 3 August 2015. Mrs Sinclair's Suitcase is coming to America. I'm thrilled to say my debut novel is going to be published in the USA tomorrow, Tuesday 4th August. It's been quite a journey bringing this book to publication in the USA. Two summers ago my agent phoned me. She sounded excited, and told me the good news: We had a publication deal in the USA! Then she said, have you heard of Amy Einhorn? A few months down the line, and we got the news from Amy that she was going to be leaving Putnam's ...

Tuesday, 15 April 2014. The WoMentoring Project exists to offer free mentoring by professional literary women to up and coming female writers who would otherwise find it difficult to access similar opportunities. Why do we need it? Like many great ideas the WoMentoring Project came about via a conversation on Twitter. While discussing the current lack of peer mentoring and the prohibitive expense for many of professional mentoring we asked our followers - largely writers, editors and agents - who wou...

Louise Walters Writer: December Give Away
http://louisewalterswriter.blogspot.com/2014/12/december-give-away.html
Monday, 1 December 2014. Is it really December again? I'm frantically trying to get everything organised - presents bought, trees chosen, cards made (yes, made - craft project with the kids). I enjoy all this fuss though, Christmas is a fun time of year despite the horrible weather and short days. All the Mrs Sinclairs on my bookshelves! The beautiful Hungarian and Italian editions. The romantic Dutch edition. The Spanish version, using the UK hardback cover design. It does play on a PC though.). I have ...

Louise Walters Writer: December 2014
http://louisewalterswriter.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, 18 December 2014. My books in 2014. For the first time this year, I've made a list of all the books I've picked up to read during 2014 - probably with half an eye on the post I'm now writing! I love a reading list, it's fascinating to find out what other people have read and enjoyed. Sometimes, if I'm honest, it's interesting to find out what people haven't enjoyed! Here are the books I read in their entirety in 2014, in order of reading. All fiction unless stated otherwise:. The Dynamite Room ...

Louise Walters Writer: March 2015
http://louisewalterswriter.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 9 March 2015. One year on from publication and the things I've learned. On 27th February 2014 I became a published writer - an author. I can honestly say it was one of THE days of my life. It's right up there with the birth days of my children, my second wedding day, and the day my agent rang me to tell me I was going to be published. I had a lovely launch party at The Old Hall Bookshop in Brackley, where I got to sign my book for the first time. What an evening! 1 Rejection isn't personal. From ...

It's day 3 and today I have fellow Insecure Writer Support Group member Chris Fey! Let's see what the lyrical poet has to say about poetry in her interview:. But in your own words, how would you define poetry? Do you believe poetry matters? I absolutely believe poetry matters. Poetry is a wonderful way to get in sync with your em...

Wednesday, 17 June 2015. Guest author: Rebecca Mascull. Today I'd like to welcome my friend and fellow author Rebecca Mascull to my blog. Rebecca's second novel, Song of the Seamaid is published tomorrow. First things first - What is Song of the Sea Maid about? This is your second novel. Did you suffer from Second Novel Syndrome? I did and I didn't! I wrote about the 'difficult second novel' thing here. It sums up my feelings quite well, including fear and nausea! I love my job in that way. So far you've...
