Yannick Rousseau grew up in the Gascony region of France, influenced by his father and grandfather. Stewards of the land, they taught Yannick to respect and nurture his environment. With that foundation, its no surprise that hes become such a meticulous vineyard manager and winemaker. Having come to the states in 1999 as assistant winemaker at Newton to Luc Morlet and Michel Rolland, Yannick honed his skills at Chateau Potelle and the Mt. Veeder appellation.

In 1996, Doug and Jane Wolf bought this historic property on the southwestern bench of St. Helena and hired Jim Barbour to manage the vineyard and Karen Culler to make the wines. Their 6.75 acres of vineyard yield under a thousand cases of lushly textured Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, and a Cabernet blend as well as a racy, mineral driven Sauvignon Blanc. These are critically acclaimed wines for both collectors and those looking for something special.

To preserve, protect and promote agricultural land in the Napa Valley. What is the primary purpose of the JLD Ag Fund? Our primary goal is simple: to conserve a valuable, non-renewable resource – Napa Valley agricultural land. We meet this goal by fulfilling our primary objective, which is to preserve the unique ag/rural, small town environment presently enjoyed by the community at large, by providing funding and support for 1. education and 2. land use and planning research. How do you raise money?
