Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Here we are at our due date with NADA. We saw the midwife yesterday and she pronounced W's cervix as "non-laboring" - she was 1 cm dilated (yeah, membrane sweep! But still quite long and high. hmmm. Monday, March 10, 2014. Saying hello and goodbye. Baby Js naming ceremony was Saturday morning, Ws dad passed away on Sunday morning. In the midst of the newborn haze (jaundice issues, gas, reflux? Thanks to fellow bloggers who gave me a crash-course tutorial in how to set this up, here we go.only a year late :). Here is our timeline. 2005 - W and E meet in Berkeley while E is a grad student and W is a teacher. 2007 - W and E head back east for a few years while W gets her doctorate - E agrees to 6 years MAX of snowy boston winters but they spend about 1-2 months each year in the Bay visiting friends/family and for E's work - ah the academic schedule. Monday, June 24, 2013. On not feeling, but hoping. Hej Hej from Sweden! Izzy is having a fantastic time romping around with her cousins. Slight language barrier aside, everyone seems obsessed with everyone else, and it's a blast to watch. Our first night here consistested of a 12-hour sleep for the whole family but last night it was nearly impossible to get izzy to bed before 11:30pm when it is barely dusk out. Ahh Swedish summers. Wednesday, February 5, 2014. We are 37 weeks - fully cooked but likely staying put for a few more weeks. We are getting a snow dump today (so beautiful) and thank goodness Izzy is with her grandparents on Wednesdays so W and I can crank through the mountains of work we want to get through in the next 3 weeks. Izzy has decided that she will NOT be vacating her crib anytime soon - she is not interested at.all in her big-girl room/bed. Getting excited to meet this little guy (who still doesn't have a name).
