Eat - Play - Quilt: August 2014
http://eatplayquilt.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 29, 2014. Busy Times–a holiday required. Hello All. A long time between drinks, but life has been chucking us wobblies as well as some good times, leaving me precious little time to create. In between all of it I have been throwing a bit of paint around some paper and fitting in a bit of art work whenever I can. Here are some prints from the humble egg carton. The end of the celery makes a lovely rose print. DH, Brother in Law, Ian and DH’s sister, Catherine. Labels: Art and Painting.

Eat - Play - Quilt: Embroidered Quilt Gift
http://eatplayquilt.blogspot.com/2015/03/embroidered-quilt-gift.html
Monday, March 23, 2015. I am one lucky girl! At my birthday gathering back in Feb. my dear friends had planned a surprise and presented me with this wonderful embroidered wall hanging. It blows me away to think that they think that much of me to make me something so very special. Close up of the blocks. The work in them is exquisite and I love how the ladies have included some bright colours to make the whole thing ‘pop’. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. March 23, 2015 at 5:33 AM. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Each time I visit my collection of Seaside Rose. Fabrics for Moda by 3 Sisters I pick up this little block left over from a quilt made for a neighbour's daughter some years ago. Zara now lives in Portugal with her parents and I wonder sometimes whether she still has her quilt. You may recall my friend Ann's DIL still doesn't have a bag, so over a cold and rainy Bank Holiday I decided that Seaside Rose. Of Goose Chase Quilting. Sarah is author of the "Simply". Stitch Awhile: "Victoria's Garden"
http://stitchawhile2.blogspot.com/2014/07/victorias-garden.html
Wednesday, July 23, 2014. On a visit with friends from my sewing group to the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham in 2006 four of us purchased "Victoria's Garden", a kit from Petra Prins from the book by Marsha McCloskey and Sharon Evans Yenter entitled "Blended Quilts From in the Beginning". Although the fabrics are not all the originals from the pattern they are all lovely and came in a be-ribboned box. The finished quilt measures 76 1/2" x 88 1/2" - certainly one for the long-arm!
