November 29, 2012 - Jacksonville Beach, FL to St. Augustine, FL. We found a Florida Times Union newspaper all wrapped up in plastic on our boat when we got up this morning. What a nice touch from the marina. It was a great stop. I will have to give the marina a good rating on Active Captain. We didn’t have to wait for the sun to heat up the cockpit; it was in the 60s when we got up and we immediately raised the cockpit curtains before leaving the slip. Before heading out into the ICW. February 27, 2013 - Still at Hope Town, Abacos, Bahamas. We rented a golf cart for the day with Elaine and Steve T. Two other couples Elaine and Steve T. knew rented a golf cart as well and we all motored from Hope Town to the southern tip of the island. Elbow Cay is six miles long with White Sound (Hope Town) in the middle of the island and Tahiti Beach at the southern tip. Elaine, Ella, Margo and Steve T. We first stopped at a cute little restaurant, On Da Beach. The mighty Atlantic strutting its stuff.

May 31, 2013 - Delaware City, Delaware to Cape May, New Jersey. We put another state behind us today. After hosing down the boat and filling up with water, we left the dock at 7:00 am The sailboat that had its bow sprint almost touching us had already left; so we had no problem getting off the dock. We had to be vigilant because we encountered more debris on the Delaware Bay. We saw many interesting ships and lighthouses on the Delaware River and Bay. Entrance/Exit of the C&D Canal. June 9, 2013 - Port Jefferson, N.Y. to Stonington, Conn. We pulled anchor at Port Jefferson and headed out the harbor entrance just in time to meet the ferry coming back from Bridgeport, Conn. They run every half hour from 6 am to 10 pm. It was a very peaceful sunny morning in Long Island Sound. Aside from the many small fishing boats outside the harbor, we saw only a handful of boats all day until we reached Connecticut. Just a few fishing boats enjoying the morning fishing. Not a large green vessel.

The adventures of the sailing vessel Maitreya. Friday, April 17, 2015. Lazy days in Ensenada. The marina staff is as friendly as we remembered and the facilities including the pool are lovely as ever. Unfortunately the little white crew member is not allowed in the hotel area so we're taking turns enjoying the pool before our showers. The spa is being renovated and all live-aboards and cruisers are awaiting the time when it reopens so we can use their showers again. Life is hard.:-). Links to this post.
