Thursday, June 14, 2012. Sailing Season has Officially Begun For Further - Better Late Than Never! The big moment was finally here! Tuesday was the big day we sailed Further down to Chicago, finally! Attaching our lazy jacks. We couldn't ask for a better place to keep Further stored during the winter. Everyone at Larsen is so nice and helpful. Nerves, what nerves? Brady making it look easy. Brady was born in Iowa and moved to Illinois when he was a kid. He has been interested in sailing for many years now. He loves to learn about everything (seriously everything), build things and is always there to lend a helping hand if needed. Sunday, March 8, 2015. Thankfully we made it to the boat yard with no other excitement to report. Another thing we took into consideration was that Further could be worth more money on the great lakes than on the east or west coast, or wherever we may end up, whenever that is. So, after going back and forth, and back and forth, and over and over again, about it for a couple of weeks while watching the price of this 'new' boat drop yet again we decided to stick with our oldie but goodie! Sunday, September 8, 2013. A 15 Hour Tour. We once again achieved yet another milestone in our sailing belt. We can FINALLY say that we sailed across Lake Michigan! It took us 15.5 hours to sail from Saugatuck back home to Chicago and if we drove it would have taken us 2.5 hours, but that is beside the point.
