Thursday, 14 May 2015. Antigua. Classics 2015. Well we'd done it once, so we thought why not? It's the best test of the the boat prior to crossing the Atlantic, and Classics is fun. This year, we had our crew.good friends who know boats, Keith from Time Out Boat Yard, St Martin, and Linda and Andy off SV Coromandel. We were a brilliant team well lubricated in the evenings on Mount Gay Rum, but ready for the start of the race the following morning. Man ' prepared himself for the first race of the year.

For those of you who think we sit under an awning drinking gin and tonics watching the sunset.you are nearly right, we drink Mount Gay Rum with pineapple juice and coconut milk! Provisioning means several trips to the supermarket as it won't fit in the dinghy and if it does it's likely to get wet.not a problem except when you are stocking crackers and cous cous. Thursday, 15 January 2015. Varnish on, varnish off, varnish on. We reached the end of the hurricane season, frantically trying to get work completed before we launched. The high UV has been attacking the varnish as quick as I have been applying it and it has taken a lot of determination to keep on top of it. I'm still not sure who's winning. Saturday, 21 March 2015. Back on the broomstick. We finally cut the umbilical chord on March 9th ( would have been Mums 90th birthday), and inched our way out of TOBY , with a little help from our friends. True to form, Meriva ground to a halt as Tristan avoided the ferry. We were stuck aground.
