Client — Android. Client — iOS. SVMP 1.4.1 Released. SVMP 1.4.1 fixes a few bugs discovered just after 1.4.0 went out the door. A kernel patch added at the last minute apparently didn’t get tested and broke the VM build. One of the sub-commands of the svmp-server’s command line utility was producing visually incorrect (although factually correct) output. A few updates for the Android client were ready to ship as well. Fixed incorrect output from command line tool’s ‘devices’ option.

Client — Android. Client — iOS. System Design and Architecture. Relies heavily on cloud APIs to manage the life cycle of the virtual smartphone devices. This lets us accomodate a variety of different deployment environments with ease. At a high level it resembles a traditional desktop-oriented thin-client system. It also has elements that resemble voice and video over IP services like XMPP. Since we reuse several of those technologies via WebRTC for transporting the remote desktop video and audio data.
