Monday, August 31, 2009. Labels: Port de Hyeres marina. Skylark at the Amel pontoon. Saturday, August 29 – Washed down the salt accumulation from the trip. The marina is almost deserted, an abrupt change from the day before. All manner of boats from the charter companies are lined up in crowded berths. People around are mostly older. Dinner at a creperie owned by an older woman who tried to speak some English to us. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Ed wandering in backlanes. Happiness is a good cup of expresso.

Wednesday, March 3, 2010. The town is busy and the harbor buzzes with activity. The water taxis are downright dangerous and the drivers mostly unskilled at manouvering their craft. Yesterday, a water taxi with a particularly rough driver gouged the gell coat on Skylark's hull. Made me pretty mad but there's no way to have them make good the damage in a place like this. Monday, June 21, 2010. Fakarawa - atoll in the Tuamotus. We took the dinghy ashore to a small beach near the village church. There were coral heads near shore which were hard to see in the fading light. Skylark at anchor in Fakarawa's pristine lagoon. The ocean side of the atoll - not so calm. Supply ship comes once a week from Tahiti. Sunrise in the lagoon. Dancers perform in Fakarawa. Another day, another sunset in the atoll. June 30, 2010 at 7:21 AM. The photos are awesome!
