Mushrooms found in Swansea, Glamorgan and Beyond. Sunday, 26 June 2011. Whiterock . 03-06-2011. Wandering around white rock I found Paxillus involutus. Brown Rollrim for the first time this year. Also in a scrubby patch of grass was Agaricus campestris. Field Mushroom. I've never seen that in this location before. Mushrooms found in Swansea, Glamorgan and Beyond. Tuesday, 17 November 2009. I decided to go for a quick foray over Kilvey Hill. Last week I found Amanita muscaria. Fly Agarics and I wanted to see if any more had come and they had in great numbers. There was a Amanita rubescens. Blusher too but only one. There was a great deal of Tricholompsis rutilans. Mushrooms found in Swansea, Glamorgan and Beyond. Wednesday, 14 March 2012. Scarlet Elf Cups at Clyne. Scarlet Elf Cups, Sarcoscypha austriaca. Are mushrooms that belong to a group commonly called 'cup fungi' due to their shape and are extremely easy to identify. The fungi fruits over winter and spring and in Clyne they were out in great numbers. The photo below shows some tiny insects called Collembola, which feed off organic matter, including fungi. Mushrooms found in Swansea, Glamorgan and Beyond. Wednesday, 14 March 2012. The Blushing Bracket, Daedaleopsis confragosa. Is a very common fungi that lives on dead wood. It forms a semicircular fan shape that can reach up to 20cms across and where it is attached to the wood can sometimes form a bump (umbo).
