Working: Diligent
http://steveworks.blogspot.com/2014/05/diligent.html
A short history of where and when I worked.based very loosely on Studs Terkel's great work on a book of the same name. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Diligent is not my middle name and here it is, May 27th in the year of 2014. Didn't I say I was going to write more often? Okay, I'm guilty. They hadn't been in their new office more than a month when I was called to visit them and help setup their labor control and estimating. I made my plans. Next time, I will write about a classy branch office.

Working: Catching up

A short history of where and when I worked.based very loosely on Studs Terkel's great work on a book of the same name. Monday, September 16, 2013. Yes, it has been a long time since I last posted here. But.I'm back for awhile. These events occurred 2 or 3 times a year and I would have to spend the week in Kansas, listening to the lectures and then taking the estimators out to dinner on the final evening; graduation. For an introvert with Asperger's, this part was hell! Most estimators, project managers a...

Just Finished
http://sheesha-justfinished.blogspot.com/2007/11/this-will-not-make-favorite-list.html
A place for me to talk about the books I've read. Saturday, November 10, 2007. This will not make the favorite list. It was just okay. For me I found nothing enjoyable about it. It was just a book to read. Not even one that I'd keep. Now that's rare! I found it to be mostly outrageous. And so far fetched it was ridiculous. The author, Rachel Pine. It was just a book to read. Not even one that I'd keep.". And how many do you keep? Don't forget, the Friends of the Library will be glad to take them for you!

A place for me to talk about the books I've read. Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Here is an all-time favorite author of mine. I think I have. Of her books. I fly through them and just love them. And this one did not disappoint me! It was a real "who done it" and twisted all around! Just a great over all book. I started reading her books years ago when my mother-in-law handed me one after she'd read it. And I've been hooked ever since. They are all suspense books. But she. Monday, August 20, 2007. As you can...

Working: Did I mention Seattle?
http://steveworks.blogspot.com/2015/02/did-i-mention-seattle.html
A short history of where and when I worked.based very loosely on Studs Terkel's great work on a book of the same name. Thursday, February 19, 2015. Did I mention Seattle? If I did, you will just have to suffer through another story about this office. But first, perhaps I will take a quick look back in this blog just to be sure.Nope! Finally it was decided to just ignore him as he was a successful estimator and they didn't want to lose him to a rival company. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Working: Feeling Good
http://steveworks.blogspot.com/2009/01/feeling-good.html
A short history of where and when I worked.based very loosely on Studs Terkel's great work on a book of the same name. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. When I reflected on my transition from one failing company to a new and promising company, I was awed by how easy it was. I lost one day of work that year. And I was going to be very busy for the foreseeable future! This branch office of PCI had been a small but very successful acoustical ceiling and flooring contractor in the region and now I was the newcomer ...

A place for me to talk about the books I've read. Wednesday, September 5, 2007. Interesting.I'm not really sure how to summarize this book. It had far less to do with the recap on the back of the book then anything else. Again a new author. For me. I did enjoy the book, but. Just not sure how the storyline kept getting off track. Or should I say that's my perception of it anyway. So you try it! I feel like I've read this author. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chico, CA, United States.

A place for me to talk about the books I've read. Saturday, June 30, 2007. I'm getting behind on my posts. And I was doing so good for a little while there! I finished this book on Tuesday and of course liked it - Stuart Woods. Is an all-time favorite of mine! This was a quick read and very enjoyable - sometimes it's nice to take a break from heavy, emotional stories. I think I mentioned in an earlier post that this was the 2 nd. But I bet I'll have lots to post when I get back. Thursday, June 28, 2007.
